This is situated away from the main tourist areas, and has
an excellent beach backed by rusty coloured cliffs (Falesia
beach). The Acoteias village itself is some way inland but the
tourist accommodation is, in general, much nearer the beach. The
beach itself is long and fairly spacious, clean, well maintained
and normally has crystal clear water. Access to the beach and
a small restaurant is via a set of stairs from the road.

Strip, Albufeira Town, Olhos d' Agua and Falesia.

Eateries (A-Z)
- Adegas Ti Costa - 2000
"Opposite the entrance to Pine Cliffs Resort, excellent local cuisine and friendly service open for both lunch & dinner and a regular place for
Portuguese families, best sardines in the area and very cheap. Average price for 2 people about 4500 esc
(22.446€) £15"
- L'Agostino - 2000
100yds down the road from Acoteais to Val de Carro is a popular
fish restaurant. We haven't eaten there, but have had good reports
from people who have.
- ????? - 2000
"Restaurant next to Supermarket at bottom of hill. Just up hill from L'agostira restaurant, small & friendly staff with typical
Portuguese cuisine and very cheap as usual".
- Restaurante O Antonio - 2000
Just down the road from the entrance to the Pine Cliffs Hotel
Sheraton, and next door to the Brothers Bar.
(2000) "We went here on Christmas day since few places were open. It is
a pretty & pleasant looking place. The menu was restricted to only a few
dishes (?due to xmas). As stingy brits we were a bit surprised at the 450
escudo (2.245€) charge for covers each since this has been outmoded in the UK for
years!!! We both had steak which was nicely cooked, but only smallish pieces
when compared to other places. The meal didn't come with a decent size
portion of chips for which you had to pay extra on top of the cost of the
steak. As a result it cost significantly more than any other meal and was
less substantial ~ costing nearly 9000 escudo (44.892€) for two steaks, 1 chips,
1scallop potato, a coke, a beer and two coffees (cf 6000escudo ( 29.928€) every other
place)"
(2000) "There is outside
dining on a terrace and a large air conditioned indoor eating
area. It is also popular with the Portuguese, the food is excellent
and good value".

- Restaurante O'Pinhal - 2001
(July 01) "Opposite Pine Cliffs resort along from Brothers bar and
Restaurante O'Antonio. Popular with the locals, wide range of traditional
food and excellent value £20ish full meal for 2 inc wine".
- ???????? - 2000
"Restaurant next door to Pateo de Golfe (can't remember name). Very friendly and attentive staff with good wholesome food, pork steak superb and again very good value for money".
Average price for 2 people about 6000 esc. (29.928€) £20
- Retiro do Isca - 2000
"is on the other side of the apartments at Val de Carro.
Beyond the apartments turn right at the T - junction and follow
the road for about half a mile. It is very popular and it's worth
while booking a table rather than turning up on chance. Again
the food is excellent and good value".
- Steak House - 2000
"Just up the road from Ti Costas this is the last restaurant and was very
tastefully decorated, the food & wines were excellent with friendly and attentive staff. Very interesting menu (wild boar stew for one & plenty others)
Just be careful if sitting outside as neon sign when lit-up attracts a lot of flies who try eating
you (we sat inside) Average price for 2 people about 9000 esc. (44.892€) £30".
